West Park, Florida
With profound sadness, we acknowledge the passing of Jacques Rodriguez, a humble soul and a beacon of hope to many.Jacques Rodriguez was born to Jose Rodriguez and Belonne Mondesir January 30, 1936.
In 1974, he married his beloved wife, Gladys Jackson with whom he shared many years of love, partnership, and devotion. Their union was blessed with three children: Johanne, Valentine, and Paul. His family continued to grow, bringing him the joy of six grandchildren-Samuel, Oliver, Carl-Sebastian, Cassandre, Elijah, Aaron, Uriyah and one great grandchild (Caden).
Our father and mother also opened their hearts and home to others, providing love, guidance, and support to several children throughout the years, including Cherline who held a very special place in their lives.
He is survived by siblings George and Marie Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul and Jean Rodriguez. Jacques is loving uncle to his nieces and nephew and was deeply cherished by his extended family. After becoming a Seventh-day Adventist, He has remained steadfast and faithful in his walk with God. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his faith, laboring tirelessly in service to God and his church family. His faithfulness was reflected not only in his words, but also in the life he lived, the service he rendered, and the example he set for those around him.
His Legaсу
After relocating from New York to Florida, he and his wife continued their journey together as business owners, successfully owning and operating their own business for many years. Following years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, he eventually retired, where he continued to enjoy the life and family they had built together.
Our father leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, service, hard work, and love. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, we his family finds comfort in the blessed hope and the promise of Christ's return. He now rests from his labor, awaiting that glorious resurrection morning when those who have fallen asleep in Christ shall rise again. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord... that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."- Revelation 14:13 Until that glorious morning, our father's love, faith, service, and the example of the life he lived will remain forever in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held at Eric S. George Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Sychar French SDA Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Hallandale Beach Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
